The treatment of headaches by meridians is a concrete manifestation of meridian syndrome differentiation in traditional Chinese medicine. The front of the head is where the Stomach Meridian of Foot Yangming passes, the sides of the head are where the Gallbladder Meridian of Foot Shaoyang passes, the back of the head is where the Bladder Meridian of Foot Taiyang passes, and the top of the head is where the Liver Meridian of Foot Jueyin passes. According to the patient's condition, that is, the location and nature of the headache, it can be divided into Shaoyang headache, Yangming headache, Taiyang headache and Jueyin headache. Treatment medications and acupuncture point selection vary depending on the meridians.

头痛的分经

头痛分经论治是中医经络辨证的一种具体体现。人的头部前侧是足阳明胃经循行所过位置，头部的两侧是足少阳胆经循行位置，头的后部是足太阳膀胱经循行位置，头顶正中是足厥阴肝经的循行位置。根据患者的病情，也就是头痛的部位和头痛的性质，可以分为少阳头痛、阳明头痛、太阳头痛和厥阴头痛。根据分经的不同，治疗药物和针灸取穴也有所不同。
